Luxury travel is booming: More and more tourists spent more money for the best weeks of the year: The growth of luxury travel in the last five years to 48 percent was twice as high as that of any other trips abroad, who reached a 24 percent increase. This is the result of a special survey by the World Travel Monitors® of IPK International, which was conducted on behalf of ITB Berlin. Luxury is described in connection with individual quality, comfort, individual services and priceless experiences. German tourists follow this trend.
Here are three extraordinary tips for luxury destinations:
Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa, Italy
Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa is regally perched on a cliff´s edge and offers fascinating views over the Mediterranean Sea and the Amalfi Coast. The generous grounds of this former convent from the 17th century, with its four levels of gardens, lush landscaping, plentiful lounge chairs and canopied daybeds, serve just 20 rooms and suites. At Ristorante Santa Rosa, with its original vaulted ceiling, the distinguished Executive Chef Christoph Bob has created an innovative Mediterranean gastronomic experience for the most discerning palate with the freshest ingredients from the surrounding Campania region. Whilst most boutique properties might only offer in-room massages, Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa hosts a fully equipped spa to rival any major city spa, offering not just treatment rooms, but large-scale amenities that include a sauna, steam, mosaic-tiled experience shower, hydro pool and tepidarium. Striking the perfect balance of seclusion without solitude, Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa allows guests to determine the tone of their stay, whether they are looking to disappear for an intimate getaway or gather with the group and make new acquaintances.
