Glasses Raised: Vodka Sour Tropicale

Vodka Sour Tropicale.

Vodka Sour Tropicale.

The classic Whiskey Sour dates back to 1872 when it was allegedly created by Elliot Stubb. An interesting factoid, perhaps, but a lot more useful is this recipe for a twist on the classic ‘Whiskey Sour’.

Our Vodka Sour Tropicale replaces the whiskey with vodka and incorporates a little Caribbean flavour in the form of Angostura Bitters (that’s where the Tropicale comes in!)

Feel like experimenting? Substitute the vodka for whiskey or gin #happymixing

Scale ingredients accordingly (serves 1)

1 1/2 oz vodka

1/4 – 3/4z oz Sugar Syrup

3/4 oz lemon juice

Dash of Angostura Bitters

Method

Shake well over ice cubes in a shaker and strain into a martini sour glass. Garnish with a stemmed cherry and serve.
