A Team Locks Down the after party at Prison’s Sports

Rising Soca band, A Team, served a sentence of a good time with hard music when they took centre stage during the after party at Prison’s Sports over the weekend.

Lead singers Abbi (Abbyshi Jackson), Kerlz (Kerlene Joseph) and Eddie (Edwin Charles) were guilty of inciting a riot at the Prison’s Ground in Arouca with an eclectic set of Soca, Calypso, Reggae, Hip Hop and Dance Hall that worked the massive crowd into an uproar.

The large gathering of Prison’s personnel and their extended families were rewarded for their bad behavior with a high-energy entertaining stage show which included the current chart topping material across all the genres.

“As musicians we’re a very versatile group and our love for music transcends genre limitations so it’s important for us to showcase that each and every time we hit the stage,” said the band’s musical director Miguel Charles of the arrangement.

Kerlz meanwhile summed up the experience as epic: “We worked hard to perfect that set and it all came together on stage for us at Prison’s sports. It was epic, full of vibes and I enjoyed every moment of it.”

A Team can be seen in a more intimate setting on Saturday June 7 when they perform live at the Island Club Casino at Grand Bazaar from 10 PM.
