One of the leading platforms for emerging designers gears up for New York City Fashion Week
RUNWAY SHOW HIGHLIGHTS
Now in its 5thseason, EMERGE! A Fashion Runway Show positioned an eclectic ensemble of artists Tuesday, February 12, 2012 during New York Fashion Week. These aspiring fashion designers from around the world showcased their artistic genius with amazing collections that powered down the runway.
Highlights included, celebrity stylist and lifestyle guru, Phillip Bloch honoring fellow style guru,Mikki Taylor a woman who has given birth to a culture of glamour, sophistication and innovation, with the ‘Fashion Innovator Award’.
This invite only affair played host as retail buyers, fashion influencers, top fashion editors, tastemakers, socialites and an amazing array of celebrities including Honoree Mikki Taylor (Fashion Icon), Phillip Blanc (Brand Ambassador), Sean Ringgold (Actress), Regina Taylor (Actress), Ms. J Alexander (America’s Next Top Model), Dwight Eubanks (Bravo’s Atlanta Housewives), R&B Group Allure, Carissa Rosario (International Model), Justin David (Boardwalk Empire), Phillis Yvonne Stickney (Actress) and Timothy Stickney (Actor) and many more crowded the exquisite Broad Street Ballroom.
EMERGE! A Fashion Runway Show, one of the leading collective showcases for emerging designers was created and produced by Dionne Williams of D. Williams Public Relations Group. Hair designs were provided by Bennett Career Institute, while the make-up was provided by Lamik Cosmetics. Other sponsors for the evening included flowers and production design by Adam Leffel Production with floral arrangements designed by Polpat Klongkhayan each adding to the success of the event.

Deidre Jefferies, ESPION Atelier – ‘ESPION’ French for the English word ‘spy’ Deidre Jefferies defines her design aesthetic as “the future of classic clothing.” This strong, yet sexy collection embodied a sleek sophistication combining male and female elements into a luxury line committed to quality. www.espion.us.com
Bernice Morgan, Designersberg – Designersberg is a full line of beautiful African dresses custom made in a variety of materials including cotton prints, damask, lace and linens came down the runway with a fresh take on modern ethnic wear, Africa. www.designerberg.com
Butterfli Tia – Butterfli Tia’s swimwear collection 2-A-T came down the runway making a bold statement. Complete with sexy embellishments, highlighting well-crafted pieces and bold color choices.
