Bajan entertainer Alison Hinds hopes to use her celebrity and goodwill to spread positivity to the women’s community. With March 8 being International Women’s Day and the March being International Women’s Month, what better time to launch a women’s foundation with a mission to ““to serve as a catalyst for transformational human development and community change by supporting programs and services that improve the quality of life for girls, women, and families worldwide.”
The Alison Hinds Wonderland Foundation launched last weekend during the “Ordinary Women Extraordinary Lives” seminar held in Barbados. The main focuses of the foundation look to provide: “personal and leadership Development for girls and women; Entrepreneurship for girls and women; education and career Development for girls and women; health and wellness issues; financial literacy for girls and women; eradication of domestic violence; family strengthening,” as stated by caribbean360.com.
While the foundation is based out of the Caribbean, Hinds hopes to spread goodwill throughout the world and provide these needs to all women walking the globe. The foundation looks to host special events, concerts, partnering with global human development organizations, publishing and of course music.
It is such a positive foundation with hopes to empower women and young girls. We hope other Caribbean artists and artists throughout the world follow in her footsteps of promoting good will.
