Jamaica’s National Standards Curriculum
The preparatory programme follows the Ministry of Education’s National Standards Curriculum (NSC). Language arts, mathematics, science and social studies build on the reading, phonics and numeracy introduced in the early years.
Preparing for secondary school
The Primary Exit Profile (PEP) forms part of the journey towards high-school placement. In the upper primary years, pupils develop the knowledge and skills assessed through the Ministry’s programme. Assessment arrangements can change; families should use the school’s current guidance for their child’s year group.
